San Miguel, El Salvador is home to a population of 345,921 individuals, with older adults making up 62% of this number. San Antonio institution is the sole nursing home in the area, offering support to elderly residents. However, due to a lack of financial resources, the facility can only accommodate 75 individuals at a time. This often results in the unfortunate denial of support to those in need.
Despite receiving help from the government, companies, and local citizens, the institution has an 8.5% annual budget deficit. This lack of liquidity prevents the retirement home from assisting more seniors in the area. Consequently, seniors who do not receive aid from the nursing home end up on the street.
The institution receives donations from the government that cover 53.1% of its monthly budget. Unfortunately, these donations are not constant and only provide enough to cover the salaries of the staff. Additionally, the facility is maintained through the Plan Padrino project, which consists of a group of companies that annually donate a certain amount of money. The Padrino Plan only covers 7.81% of the institution's annual budget.
Our organization is dedicated to raising funds for the San Antonio, a local nursing home in San Miguel, El Salvador. Ensure the economic safety of the institution so that they can provide proper conditions and environment to assist more people. With your assistance, we can improve their establishment and enhance the quality of life for elderly individuals.
100% of donations received by the institution cover basic needs including food, medicine, transportation to hospitals, clothing, personal hygiene items, and nutritional supplements.
